Waiver

Waiver & medical release

Please review before your child's first weekend. You'll confirm agreement on the registration form, and a signed digital waiver is coming soon.

1. Participation & assumption of risk

Weekend Warriors activities include sports, swimming, water games, obstacle courses, fishing, and outdoor recreation. These activities carry inherent risks of injury. By enrolling a child, the parent or legal guardian acknowledges and accepts those risks.

2. Supervision & safety

All activities are supervised by trained staff. Swim time is run with dedicated water-watchers, headcounts, and swim-ability checks. Staff maintain current CPR and First Aid certification. Children are required to follow all safety instructions; unsafe behavior may result in removal from an activity.

3. Medical release

In the event of injury or illness, the parent or guardian authorizes Weekend Warriors staff to administer basic first aid and to seek emergency medical treatment if the parent or emergency contact cannot be reached immediately. Parents are responsible for disclosing allergies, medications, and medical conditions at registration.

4. Release of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, the parent or guardian releases Weekend Warriors, its founders, staff, and volunteers from claims arising from ordinary participation in program activities, excluding gross negligence or willful misconduct.

5. Photo & media consent

We occasionally photograph activities for our website and social media. Parents may opt out of photo use at any time in writing, and we will exclude their child from published images.

6. Drop off & pick up

Drop off begins at 10:00 AM and pick up closes at 4:00 PM. Children are released only to the parent or the authorized adults listed at registration, with photo ID on request. Late pick up may incur a fee.

7. Weather & cancellations

Programming continues in light rain using covered and indoor activities. If a full day is cancelled for severe weather, families receive a credit toward a future weekend.

8. Code of conduct

We expect respect for staff, teammates, equipment, and facilities. Bullying, aggression, or repeated refusal to follow safety rules may result in dismissal from the program without refund.
